Embraer has revealed that Spanish airline, Binter Canarias, are to be the recipients of five E195-E2 jets. The news was announced earlier last week as an undisclosed customer.

The aircraft are set to be delivered in 2023 and 2024, with a list price value of US$389.4 million which will be added to Embraer’s Q4 backlog.

This number of jets will effectively double the carrier’s fleet, which is already an operator of Embraer E195-E2 jets. At present, Binter currently operates five E195-E2 jets, alongside 27 ATR 72 turboprop aircraft.

The E195-E2 jets are the the most fuel efficient single aisle aircraft flying today, with a 25.4% fuel efficiency per seat, compared to previous generation E-jets.
