Germany’s largest leisure airline, Eurowings, has unveiled an ambitious expansion of its winter flight schedule for the period from October 2024 to March 2025. The airline announced on September 26, 2024, that it would significantly increase the number of destinations and flights, offering passengers over 120 destinations across 37 countries on 344 different routes.

Following the successful introduction of routes to Dubai last year, Eurowings is set to enhance this service by offering daily flights from Berlin and four weekly flights from Stuttgart during peak times. Additionally, a new thrice-weekly service from Cologne-Bonn Airport (CGN) to Dubai is being introduced.

Expanding its global footprint, Eurowings will launch new flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, operating three times a week from both Berlin and Cologne-Bonn. This new connection is part of Eurowings’ strategy to tap into emerging markets and cater to increasing travel demands to and from the Middle East.

Moreover, this winter season will see the introduction of a brand-new route to Cairo, Egypt. This marks the first time Eurowings will connect Cairo with Düsseldorf, offering two flights per week. This route aims to provide more travel options for passengers looking to explore the historical and cultural richness of Egypt’s capital.

Eurowings is also extending its reach to Northern Europe with new connections to Finland and Norway. From Hamburg, passengers can now fly twice a week to Rovaniemi and Kittilä, while starting January 2025, Stuttgart will offer two weekly flights to Rovaniemi and Tromsø.

Additional new routes from Eurowings include twice-weekly flights to Faro from Berlin, six weekly flights to Nürnberg, twice-weekly flights to Thessaloniki from Hamburg, weekly flights to Madeira from Nürnberg, and increased flights to Mallorca from Hanover with 18 trips scheduled during the Christmas holiday period.

Internationally, Eurowings is expanding its operations from Prague with additional flights to Alicante, and from Stockholm to both Berlin and Prague, enhancing its network connectivity across Europe.

Moreover, Palma de Mallorca will see a significant boost in connectivity with more frequent direct flights to several German cities including Cologne, Dortmund, Berlin, and Stuttgart, as well as to Salzburg, Austria.

These additions to Eurowings’ flight schedule are part of a broader strategy to offer a wider array of travel options, catering to both leisure and business travelers seeking convenience and accessibility during the winter months. The expansion also reflects Eurowings’ response to the growing demand for travel as passengers increasingly look for new and exciting destinations to explore.
