Eve Air Mobility and Blade Air Mobility Partner to Revolutionize European Air Transportation with Electric Aircraft Integration
At the Paris Air Show, Eve Air Mobility and Blade Air Mobility reaffirmed their commitment to transforming the aviation industry in Europe through an extended partnership. This collaboration aims to lay the groundwork for integrating Eve’s cutting-edge electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) or electric vertical aircraft (EVA) into Blade’s extensive European route network, starting in France.
The alliance between the two companies represents a strong dedication to advancing air mobility and introducing electric air transportation to new regions. Andre Stein, Co-CEO of Eve, expressed their joint vision to make travel more accessible for passengers while driving significant environmental improvements.
Blade’s recent acquisition of key urban air mobility operators in Southern Europe – Monacair, Héli Sécurité, and Azur Hélicoptère – further solidifies their role in ongoing technical and commercial discussions under the new memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Eve.
CEO of Blade, Rob Wiesenthal, emphasized their shared commitment to transitioning from conventional aircraft to electric vertical aircraft. The integration of Eve’s advanced aircraft into Blade’s European network marks a significant step toward achieving a safer, quieter, and more sustainable future in air travel. Together, they aim to transform the travel industry and create a positive environmental impact.
Blade’s focus will be on developing practical applications for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and identifying potential future AAM routes in France and other European countries.
Notably, in 2022, Eve inked an agreement with Blade India to deploy up to 200 eVTOLs in the country, while the year before, they signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for operations in the United States, paving the way for up to 60 eVTOLs annually in the West Coast, New York, and Florida markets.
