FAA unruly passenger fines surpass $1M

The Federal Aviation Administration recently announced its latest round of fines for unruly air passengers, adding more than $500,000 to a total that has now passed the $1 million mark. These fines were assessed against 34 individuals accused of unruly behavior onboard aircraft, and marked the largest announcement of federal penalties since the beginning of the FAA’s “zero tolerance policy” earlier this year.
