Feds continue funding for L.A. hotel program for homeless

A Los Angeles initiative that has housed thousands of homeless people in hotels to curb the spread of the coronavirus has won an extension courtesy of the federal government. The Federal Emergency Management Agency agreed to continue reimbursing the city and county for the program’s cost through March, dropping the original deadline of the end of this year.
