First Direct Flight to Naples from Aalborg Airport
On Tuesday May 3, Volotea had its first direct departure from Aalborg Airport to Naples. Red and white checkered tablecloths, pizza and wine tasting, with wines from the area aournd Naples, gave travelers a small taste of the unique Neapolitan atmosphere.
Southern Italy is now only a short flight away from Aalborg Airport, after Volotea Tuesday May 3 had its first departure to the capital of the Campania region, Naples. In the city’s backyard you will find southern Italian favorites such as Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, which were also the holiday destination for many of today’s travelers in the gate.
New Route Makes Holiday Travels to Southern Italy Easier
Many Danes travel every year on holiday to Southern Italy, which with its nature, culture and wines is popular as a holiday destination. As an alternative to driving and the long bus ride, a direct route from Aalborg Airport has therefore long been in demand.
– We have now officially welcomed Volotea, which is entering the Danish market for the first time with a direct route. A route to Southern Italy is something we have been working on for a long time, which is why it was a big day at Aalborg Airport. As we could see at the departure last night, there were quite a few passengers who had bought a package trip with Nilles Rejser or Kulturrejser and others a plane ticket directly with Volotea. The new direct route therefore offers more opportunities in relation to one’s travel wishes – everything from a cultural holiday on your own in the streets of Naples to a guided tour along the Amalfi Coast, says CEO Niels Hemmingsen.
