A cruise ship built on land, a rotary phone in every room for instant champagne ordering and a group of giraffes stopping by the window are among innovations hotels and resorts have devised to jump-start tourism. Even a visit to Santa’s house is on the menu, at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland.
