A 44-year-old former hotel janitor has entered the pantheon of South Korea’s self-made billionaires by hatching a lodging and travel superapp. Lee Su-jin leveraged his connections to hotel owners and toilet paper suppliers for the 2005 launch of Yanolja, which is valued at about $6.7 billion.
