Airlines has announced a new policy that will require passengers to check in and drop off their bags earlier than before. Starting from August 16, 2023, Frontier will close its ticket counters and bag drop 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time of each flight. Previously, the cutoff time was 45 minutes before departure.

The airline said the change was made to improve the customer experience and reduce delays. “This change will allow our team members to better assist customers and ensure an on-time departure,” Frontier said in a tweethttps://bing.com/search?q=Frontier+Airlines+check-in+policy+change. The airline also advised passengers to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their flight and to check in online or via the mobile app to save time and money.

Frontier is not the only airline that has a strict check-in cutoff policy. Spirit Airlines, another low-cost carrier, also requires passengers to check in and drop off their bags at least 60 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 90 minutes for international flights. Other major airlines, such as American, Delta, and United, have a 45-minute cutoff for domestic flights and a 60-minute cutoff for international flights.

Passengers who fail to check in and drop off their bags before the cutoff time may lose their reservation and be ineligible for a refund or credit. Therefore, it is important to plan ahead and arrive at the airport early to avoid any hassle or disappointment. Frontier Airlines operates more than 100 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean.
