Global Destinations Offer Cheap Airfare During Shoulder Season, With Europe Flights as Low as $483 Roundtrip
Shoulder season, the perfect time for travelers to explore new destinations at a fraction of the usual cost, is here. According to a new analysis by the flight deals app Going, shared with Travel + Leisure, this period from now until mid-December offers significantly cheaper airfare and fewer crowds, with flights to Europe starting as low as $483 roundtrip.
“This year’s shoulder season is an incredible opportunity for travelers to score great deals to Europe and beyond,” a spokesperson for Going told T+L. Fares have dropped to pre-pandemic lows, with discounts extending to premium economy flights, providing travelers more comfort for less.
Travelers can find round-trip flights to major European cities like London and Paris from U.S. airports, including smaller hubs like Nashville and New Orleans. East Coast flyers can also find deals to cities such as Kraków, Poland, and Vilnius, Lithuania, for just $400.
Premium economy fares to Europe have also reached record lows, starting under $750, offering additional perks and space at a 60% savings compared to regular rates.
For adventure enthusiasts, shoulder season flights to Canada’s Calgary and Vancouver are available for $150 to $200 roundtrip, perfect for exploring Banff and Jasper National Parks. Meanwhile, flights to Japan are now more affordable, with round trips to Tokyo costing about $700, thanks to increased nonstop flights and favorable currency exchange rates.
Now may be the best time to book a last-minute international getaway at a bargain price.
