Grass biofuel could support sustainable aviation fuel

A recent study charts a path toward widespread availability of sustainable aviation fuel by using grass miscanthus as a source for the production of biofuel. “It is within reach for the United States to decarbonize the fuel used by commercial aviation, without having to wait for electrification of aircraft propulsion,” according to Nazli Uludere Aragon, co-author of the study.
