Hawaiian Airlines has contributed to an initiative that is relocating black-footed Albatross birds from Midway Atoll in the South Pacific to a colony off the coast of Mexico. The airline has flown nearly 70 chicks and eggs from Honolulu to San Diego over the past two years. “We take pride that our airplanes, our wings, helped these incredible seabirds get to a new safe place,” said Debbie Nakanelua-Richards, director of community and cultural relations at Hawaiian Airlines.
