Homeless Vermonters granted reprieve from hotel ouster

Vermont Gov. Phil Scott announced Tuesday that 30 more days will be granted the more than 540 homeless people who were at risk of eviction from hotels paid for by the state during the pandemic. “We just want to make sure we take this pause to make sure that we all agree on the path forward and so we can get more permanent housing up and ready as well,” Scott said.
