Honeywell Forecast Predicts Continued Growth in Business Jet Deliveries

Honeywell Aerospace’s latest Global Business Aviation Outlook forecasts the delivery of 8,500 new business jets valued at $280 billion over the next decade. Released ahead of the NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, the report indicates the business aviation sector will experience sustained growth, with 900 jets delivered annually by 2032/2033, a level not seen since 2008.

Based on a survey of 375 non-fractional operators representing 1,488 aircraft, the forecast predicts steady demand for new aircraft, particularly large cabin jets, which will make up one-third of deliveries but contribute two-thirds of the revenue.

For 2025, Honeywell expects a 12% increase in deliveries, as manufacturers ramp up production following supply chain improvements. The forecast anticipates North America receiving two-thirds of the deliveries, followed by Europe (13%), Latin America (10%), Asia Pacific (7%), and the Middle East (3%).

Operators ranked performance and cost as their top drivers when purchasing new jets, with range being the most important factor. Sustainability remains a focus, with 85% of respondents identifying more fuel-efficient aircraft as the best way to reduce environmental impact. However, challenges like the cost and availability of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) were highlighted as key hurdles to broader adoption.
