Hospitality execs on the industry’s role in fighting racism

Forty percent of restaurant managers and 60% of chefs are people of color, according to the National Restaurant Association, and the foodservice and hospitality industries can play a key role in fighting racism and fostering greater diversity. Executives from companies including Chipotle Mexican Grill and Marriott shared their perspectives last week in a SmartSummit titled “What will it take? Fighting racism through the food and hospitality industries.”
