Hotel tax bumped in Portland, Ore., to aid tourism

The city tax on hotels and vacation rentals in Portland, Ore., will rise to 3% from 2% after June 30 thanks to unanimous action by the City Council aimed at restoring pandemic-battered tourism. Local and state lodging taxes overall can reach 16%.
