Hotels appeal to remote workers amid tourism slump

Occupancy rates remain below average for many hotels as travel restrictions and concerns about COVID-19 deter many would-be vacationers. But some hotels are getting creative — offering up their vacant spaces to remote workers looking for a change of scenery. Hotels are creating extended-stay packages that include wellness treatments or educational experiences to appeal to digital nomads, as well as offering deals on spaces for remote work or meetings.
