Hotels close to pre-pandemic industry level

Hotels are on their way to pre-pandemic numbers, according to a recent Trepp analysis that showed the share of employees in the industry was about 10%, up from April 2020’s low of 6.6% and close to the pre-pandemic level of 11%. “As tourism and business travel continue to pick up this year, it will be interesting to see its impact on hotels serving as collateral for … loans as they report their quarterly financials,” Trepp’s Jyoti Yadav said.
