Hotels get in step to reduce environmental footprint

A global push to bring the travel and tourism industry from back in the pack to the forefront of sustainability is reflected in two initiatives focused on hotels. The World Travel & Tourism Council Hotel Sustainability Basics program seeks to help small- to medium-size properties implement green policies, while the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance’s Pathways to Net Positive Hospitality gives larger players more advanced consultation.
