House panel: Trump hotel issues escaped GSA scrutiny

A US House committee report accuses the federal agency in charge of the Trump International Hotel lease of failure to keep tabs on possible ethical and constitutional breaches during the namesake’s presidency. Foreign government payments to the Washington, D.C., hotel and the origins of $75 million in loans made by Trump and his family went unchecked by the General Services Administration, according to the report.
