How Americans feel about multiculturalism and media
The majority of Americans surveyed — 93% — say they want to engage with different cultures, while 87% say they feel strong bonds with multiple communities, according to a report from Magna, NBCUniversal and Identity. However, 33% say a lack of or inaccurate media representation means they don’t identify with different communities and 75% of Black and Hispanic respondents expect brands to portray their cultures accurately.
