Incoming FedEx CEO discusses priorities, succession

FedEx’s incoming CEO, Raj Subramaniam, has long been expected to succeed company founder Frederick Smith, and in his first major interview since the transition was announced, Subramaniam names having frequent communication and tapping into the company’s data streams as top priorities. “If someone had told me when I joined this company 30 years ago that this is the role I would be playing, I would have thought I’d have a better chance to play for the Memphis Grizzlies,” Subramaniam says.
