Ind. city council decries anti-Asian racism
A resolution condemning anti-Asian racism and harassment was unanimously adopted by the Indianapolis City-County Council, encouraging police and city agencies to investigate threats and disinformation that put Asian American and Pacific Islander citizens at risk. “This type of racism isn’t new in this country, and unfortunately it’s taken something so jarring — the death of six Asian American women — for our country to finally pay attention to what’s been going on,” said Katherin Chi of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum Indiana chapter.
