Investor pushes for Ashford Hospitality to overhaul board

Activist investor Cygnus Capital expressed concerns about the management of Ashford Hospitality Trust and notified shareholders that it is backing a group of five candidates for the executive board in a bid for its overhaul. Ashford said that it “is reviewing the information provided in the notice and assessing the validity of the notice under the company’s constituent documents and applicable law.”
