JetBlue Boston Flights Highlight Expanded Bermuda Schedule
JetBlue is resuming direct flights between Boston’s Logan International Airport and Bermuda’s LF Wade International Airport in May, re-launching service to the territory the carrier cancelled in 2021, citing lack of demand.
Beginning May 5, the new schedule will feature daily summer service plus an expanded slate of four round-trip Boston-to-Bermuda flights weekly from November 2023 through the Spring of 2024, Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) said in a statement.
“BTA welcomes the continuation of the JetBlue flight to Boston throughout the winter months,” said Tracy Berkeley, BTA’s CEO. “We could not be happier to continue our relationship with JetBlue and for our visitors to have a more convenient way to get to Bermuda all year round.”
BTA officials called Boston “Bermuda’s second-largest source market for visitors in the U.S.,” adding, “the return to year-round direct service should please frequent travelers between the two destinations.”
Bermuda is also served by American Airlines, which offers daily flights from Charlotte, Miami and Philadelphia, and Delta Air Lines, which flies thrice weekly to the territory from Atlanta.
American recently reduced the Miami departures from daily flights to five per week, according to a Bermuda Royal Gazette report. However, Air Canada is increasing its flight schedule between Bermuda and Toronto to four weekly flights from two.
