Kan. city considers hotel grant proposal

Merriam, Kan., city leaders agreed to consider a proposed grant that would bring in more tax revenue for the city by upgrading the four local hotels. The grant would be used to reimburse hotel owners with between $5,000 and $250,000 to renovate their properties in an effort to bring in more visitors.
