Krasnodar Airport welcomed first flight from Belgrade

On June 5, at 03:15, the first plane of the Serbian national air carrier Air Serbia landed at Krasnodar airport. There were 70 passengers on board. On the same day, at 03:55, 113 people flew from Krasnodar in the opposite direction.

A pleasant surprise was waiting for first passengers of the flight: when leaving the International Terminal, the passengers were greeted by the folk group of singers who sang Cossack songs for the newly arrived guests and handed out memorable souvenirs with the symbols of the airport to everyone.

In addition, representatives of Air Serbia visited the capital of Kuban on the first flight. The employees of the Krasnodar airport and the Aerodynamics Group met with them. The delegations discussed the opening of the flight, prospects for further cooperation and exchanged gifts. Representatives of the airline highly appreciated the reception and expressed hope that in the future the number of flights will be increased.

– We are pleased to reintroduce another destination into our route network, which will provide a direct connection between Krasnodar and Belgrade. Despite difficult circumstances, we continue to expand the number of directions and strengthen our presence in Russia, which is a strategically important market for us. We are pleased to contribute to the strengthening of commercial and tourism activities between our two countries. This is also evidenced by the high demand and good load of flights to Krasnodar in the near future.

The resumption of the flight is mutually beneficial for both parties. Belgrade is one of the largest transfer hubs in Europe, which opens up prospects for recreation not only in Serbia. From the capital of Belgrade, in transit, you can fly to almost any European country: Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. And the residents of the Balkans will find it easier to get to new Russian tourist destinations. It should be reminded that the air traffic between Belgrade and Krasnodar was first established by the airline in 2019 and suspended due to the pandemic in 2020.

Flights to Belgrade are operated by Airbus A319 aircraft twice a week. On Saturdays, it arrives in Krasnodar at 03:05 and departures to Belgrade at 03:55. On Mondays, the plane will land in the Kuban capital at 03:15, and departure to the capital of Serbia at 04:05. The average journey time will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

Now Krasnodar airport is preparing to launch new international flights. During the summer navigation, new flights will be opened to a number of European countries.
