L.A.’s Cecil Hotel faces rough road to homelessness role

The owner of the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles vows he can fill its 600 units with formerly homeless people and others of low income, even though tens of millions of dollars have yielded only 73 occupants so far. The conversion of the historic hotel to homeless housing is unusual for such projects in that it is being funded by private developers rather then public sources.
