On October 27th, Lodz Airport and Welcome Airport Services – the largest handling agent in Poland regarding the number of carriers served – signed a cooperation agreement.

Anna Midera Ph.D., President of the Board and CEO of Lodz Airport Central Poland, said: “This year Lodz Cargo celebrates its 10th anniversary. On this great occasion, we enter a new level: we have been recognized by the largest cargo handling agent in Poland and have become the “Cargo family of central Poland”. The establishment of cooperation is a combination of the forces of Lodz Airport Cargo and one of the largest handling agents in Poland in the field of Cargo handling – Welcome Airport Services. Cooperation means including another station in the sales and service network by Welcome, however, in this case with the organizational independence of the handling agent at Lodz Airport. We retain our own employees and our own AHAC and RA certification. As part of the cooperation, we will also be able to offer: a competitive price list, common standards of customer service, work in the same IT environment, and common visual and marketing identification. We hope that our cooperation will develop excellently.”

“We are proud that our company has been appreciated by another airport, which results in the expansion of cooperation in the field of Cargo handling. Our ability to serve goods by air practically all over the world and the economic potential of the Łódź region will certainly become an attractive and stable logistics offer” – said Jakub Kluziński, President of the Board of Welcome Airport Services.

As a result of the established cooperation between Lodz Airport Central Poland and Welcome Airport Services, the position of Welcome Cargo in Poland will be further strengthened, the distribution of RFS in the western direction will be optimized and the maximum use of the available loading space will be possible. In addition, which is also extremely important, the signed agreement will increase the quality of communication between the customer, the ground handling agent, and the airline and will enable operational support in crisis situations between terminals in terms of personnel and equipment.
