Luxury Chicago hotel will cease housing homeless people

An unusual arrangement between the City of Chicago and the luxury Julian Hotel to house homeless people during the pandemic will end this week as the parties’ contract expires. Officials say sufficient shelter space and transitional housing have become available to free the upscale property to reopen to the general public.
