Midtown Manhattan sees an uptick in activity

Midtown Manhattan has seen a return of foot traffic, with pedestrians, shoppers, hotel visitors and restaurant patrons out in force again, although numbers are still below pre-pandemic levels. There have been some recent positive signs for offices as well, but only 38% of Manhattan’s 1 million office workers were back at their desks on a typical workday in mid-April, according to the Partnership for New York City.
