More employers honor Juneteenth as paid holiday

Best Buy, the Hartford and National Grid are among a growing number of employers officially honoring Juneteenth as a paid company holiday — a move that will likely increase now that the day is officially a federal holiday. “Recognizing Juneteenth as a paid holiday is simply the right thing to do and signifies a degree of reckoning with America’s history that is long overdue,” says Rosa Nunez, director of diversity, equity and inclusion at law firm Foley Hoag.
