Tension are high in Brooklyn, Minn., as people took to the streets to protest the killing of Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old unarmed Black man, by 26-year police force veteran Kim Potter, during a traffic stop. “The protest is what brings a lot of attention, but we need policy change. But even that may not be enough if the blue culture doesn’t change,” said NAACP Vice President in Minnesota P.J. Hill. “Culture trumps policy any day.”
