The historic Goldfield Hotel, named for a small deser town that was the most populous in Nevada during gold rush days more than a century ago, is up for sale along with surrounding properties for $4.9 million. The four-story hotel has been owned since 2003 by a family that had hopes of reviving it as a destination, but it’s best known as a favorite of ghost hunters thanks to a grim local legend of crime and death.
