Chicago hoteliers seeking a $75 million cut of the city’s forthcoming $1.9 billion in federal pandemic relief will have to wait until late summer as Mayor Lori Lightfoot deliberates. The industry says it sorely needs the help to boost reopenings, but the mayor says more study and community input on use of the money, and on federal guidelines, are called for.
