NOLA Hard Rock developer sues over city’s permit denial

The developer of the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel project in New Orleans is suing the City Council for rescinding its building permit and taking special aim at a Council member who wants the company criminally charged in the disaster that killed three workers. Investigators have not placed blame on the developer, 1031 Canal Development LLC, the suit notes.
