Oakland A’s to fund stadium portion of project with hotel

The Oakland A’s have pledged $1 billion to build a 35,000-seat stadium as the centerpiece of a $12 billion project with a mixed-use development. The overall plan calls for an indoor performance center and hotel, 3,000 units of affordable housing, 1.5 million square feet for offices and 270,000 square feet for retail.
