Oceania Cruises has partnered with the American Cancer Society to launch the “Relay for Life at Sea” across its fleet, aiming to raise $150,000 by year-end to support cancer research, patient support services, and advocacy efforts. This initiative, which has already started on Vista and Insignia ships, is set to expand to the entire fleet in the upcoming months.

Guests aboard Oceania Cruises are invited to participate in this noble cause by joining a friendly competition that involves walking as many laps as possible around the ships’ fitness tracks. To register, travelers can scan a QR code featured in Oceania’s onboard newsletter or sign up directly at cancer.org/relayforlifeatsea. A minimum donation of $25 is required to take part in the event.

The culmination of the Relay for Life at Sea will be a special event held at the end of each cruise, where participants gather to celebrate their achievements. The event will feature special recognition for top walkers and various prizes, emphasizing community spirit and collective effort.

Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative: “This initiative reflects Oceania Cruises’ commitment not only to delivering exceptional travel experiences but also to making a positive impact in the communities we touch, consistently aiming to foster a spirit of unity. We look forward to seeing not only our guests but our officers and team members, come together to celebrate survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and contribute to the fight against cancer.”

“Relay for Life at Sea” is more than just a fundraising effort; it’s a movement that brings together passengers and crew members in a shared mission to make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer.
