Officials in North Fla. see promise in Amtrak revival

Amtrak’s rail service between Orlando, Fla., and New Orleans has been out of service since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, but the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency is calling on four regional planning councils across North Florida to look into restoration. The project, estimated at $2 billion, could present a plethora of political and logistical construction challenges.
