Omni Hotels & Resorts announces an innovative overhaul of its Select Guest Loyalty Program, introducing a new era of rewards that extends beyond mere hotel stays. The enhanced program now encompasses a broader range of guest expenditures, from dining at the hotel’s restaurants to enjoying spa treatments and golfing, aiming to reward guests for the full spectrum of their experiences at Omni properties.
In a strategic move to differentiate from competitors, Omni’s revamped loyalty program shifts the focus from the traditional metric of nights stayed to overall spending, thereby facilitating easier access to elevated status levels and simplifying the process for earning Free Nights. “We’re genuinely adding value to our Member experience,” Josh Belkin, Vice President of Loyalty & Customer Engagement at Omni Hotels & Resorts, stated. He emphasized the brand’s commitment to enriching the guest experience with a ‘Rewards Beyond The Room’ approach, ensuring members can quickly attain both elevated status and Free Nights.
The updated Select Guest program categorizes members into four tiers—Member, Insider, Champion, and Icon Status—each offering a unique set of benefits and amenities. Basic membership perks include welcome drinks, complimentary Wi-Fi, and assistance from on-property Loyalty Ambassadors. Higher tiers unlock additional advantages such as morning beverage delivery, room upgrades, and personalized amenities, with Champion and Icon status members earning Omni Credits at an accelerated rate, leading to quicker Free Night achievements. Icon Status members enjoy exclusive benefits like chef-crafted welcome amenities, significant room upgrades, and complimentary clothes pressing, among others.
A key feature of the new program is the introduction of Tier Dollars, a system that credits members for a wide array of on-property expenses, further encouraging engagement with the hotel’s offerings. This system enables members to ascend the loyalty ladder based on their total annual spend, making it possible to reach higher status levels and earn Free Nights more swiftly than many competitor programs. For instance, transitioning from Member to Insider status is achievable with just $1,000 in annual spending, illustrating how a single stay involving dining, spa, or golf activities can significantly advance a member’s loyalty status.
