Once-grand Brooklyn hotel on verge of foreclosure

The Hotel Bossert, hailed as the “Waldorf-Astoria of Brooklyn” in its heyday and noted for hosting a Dodgers’ World Series celebration, faces foreclosure after amassing hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. Wells Fargo filed a $112 million pre-foreclosure notice against Chetrit Group, which co-bought the property in 2012 with plans to revive it as a luxury hotel.
