Pandemic precautions

This week we asked what precautions advisors recommend for traveling at this time.

Texas-based advisor Lanelle Johnston shared this list:

  • Get COVID vaccinations.
  • Make sure passports and IDs are current.
  • Let them know restrictions for flying, hotels and vacation rentals so they won’t be surprised when arrive at destination.
  • Local travel may be more accessible rather than foreign destinations so suggest where is a safer place to visit with family and friends.
  • Remind them to use common sense when visiting crowded places.

Pennsylvania-based advisor Bob Silverman recommends that clients travel once they feel ready and are “comfortable with the destination and scenario that they will encounter.”

“We all want to get back to selling travel, but we must not be perceived as encouraging clients to travel for our financial gain at the cost of their safety,” Silverman added.
