Panel: Pandemic didn’t dim inflight connectivity prospects

A panel of aviation and technology experts agreed that the coronavirus pandemic has not reduced the long-term viability of the inflight connectivity business, noting that a shift toward leisure travel has not reduced passengers’ uptake of connectivity options. Instead, airlines are able to focus on what customers want most, said Clarissa Sebastian, managing director for premium customer experience at American Airlines, adding, “We’re shifting away from providing things for the sake of things and really drilling into what the brand’s core values are.”
