The upcoming Paris Air Show, renowned as the world’s largest and oldest aviation event, will focus on sustainable aviation innovations. This year, companies from various countries will exhibit their electric and hybrid planes, aiming to address environmental concerns by reducing emissions and noise in the industry.

Among the highlights of the show will be Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Brazilian aerospace giant Embraer. Eve will unveil its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed for urban air mobility services. This zero-emission aircraft can accommodate up to six passengers and has a range of 250 km.

Another participant to watch is VoltAero, a French startup founded by former Airbus executives. VoltAero will present its first airplane, Cassio, an electric-hybrid propulsion aircraft capable of carrying four to nine passengers and flying up to 1,200 km. Combining electric motors with a combustion engine, Cassio optimizes performance and efficiency.

Several other companies will showcase their sustainable aviation products at the event, including Pipistrel, a Slovenian manufacturer known for electric and solar-powered planes; Bye Aerospace, a U.S. company specializing in electric trainers and light aircraft; and Solar Impulse, a Swiss project aiming to circumnavigate the globe solely using solar energy.

Scheduled to take place from June 19 to 25 at Le Bourget Airport, the Paris Air Show anticipates attracting over 300,000 visitors and featuring around 2,000 exhibitors from the aviation industry.
