Phishing campaign targets hotel customers’ data

A hacker known as TA558 stepped up phishing activities in 2022 against hotels and hospitality firms, using remote access malware to monitor networks, steal customer data and credit card information and alter websites to divert booking payments, according to Proofpoint researchers. It’s possible that the threat actor will also sell the stolen data or access to the network, or use it to engage in blackmail.
