Pittsburgh airport work hitting MWBE target

Pittsburgh International Airport’s $1.4 billion modernization is on track to meet its goal of having a 14% share of the work done by minority- and women-owned business enterprises, with 142 such firms already at work, officials say. Community outreach, unbundling contracts and holding owners accountable are among the strategies officials are using to meet the goal.
