Plan to sell Trump International’s D.C. lease is official

The Trump Organization has formally notified the federal agency that owns its flagship hotel in Washington, D.C., of its proposal to sell the lease to Miami-based CGI Merchant Group for $375 million. The General Services Administration’s approval is needed for the deal, which reportedly would lead to the Trump International’s rebranding as a Waldorf-Astoria.
