Potato hotel on Idaho farm appeals to more than the eye

The Big Idaho Potato Hotel is everything the name implies, a 28-by-12-square-foot windowless room with a queen-size bed on a farm near Boise with a nightly rate of $200. The steel, plaster, and concrete facsimile toured the nation after its creation as a marketing gimmick for the state’s signature crop, then was redesigned by former tour spokeswoman Kristie Wolfe, complete with a silo as a spa.
