Pre-testing halt for US entry seen as boon for hotels

The Biden administration answered a long-standing plea from the hotel and travel industries Friday by calling an end to the mandate that visitors test negative for COVID-19 before entering the US. The US Travel Association says the decision will draw 5.4 million more travelers to the country and $9 billion in related spending this year.
