Preparation may begin this year for Google village

Site preparations, including infrastructure upgrades, for Google’s planned mixed-use village in San Jose, Calif., are expected to begin this year. The area would be built around transit with plans to include office space, homes, restaurants, retail and hotel rooms as well as open spaces and entertainment.
